Dr. Wilson is an Ordained Deacon in the United Methodist Church.  Their MDiv. from Wesley Seminary had a concentration in Urban Ministry and their DMin from Hood Theological Seminary focused on Community Advocacy and Social Justice.

Dr. Wilson has served in both local churches and at the general agency level of the UMC as well as partnered with non-profits and secular organizations, all in the interest of making the community whole.

Dr. Wilson's spouse is a UMC Elder here in Maryland. Their son works in the manufacturing trade and has turned the family farm into a small homestead in Vermont.
